In addition, a person charged with DUI is subject to an ALS (Administrative License Suspension) and he/she only has 10 days to contact the Georgia Department of Driver’s Services (DDS) to request an administrative license suspension hearing. If he/she fails to request the hearing within the 10 day time period, it shall result in an automatic suspension of that person’s license.
